    Bocasalfonsoarrival

Spent the morning dolphin watching and diving in Bocas del Toro, stopping off here for lunch. The food is nothing to write home about, various pescado or camarones options, all in the same orange sauce, but what a view! Jumped in and snorkelled straight after lunch, and the extra weight helped me swim through huge schools of sardine and watch hundreds of bigger fish jostle for the scraps from above.

Lunch for two (one plate plus vegetarian option) $16

Authentic pasta, perfect starters, imported beers and Italian wines.

    Bocaschitre

Chitre by name, Chitre by reputation, this was seriously good Chitre: meatballs, noodles, rice, salsa. Washed down with Coke. Carb-attack!

    Lunch for two $5 (£3.45)
